RECENT MATCHES
England vs Australia
One of the most boring series ever. Australia won the ODI series 3-0, in case you didn’t know. Not many people could be arsed to follow through with the series. Why would they? It was 3 freaking days since England won the T20 World Cup that they lost to the Aussies in Adelaide by 6 wickets, in an ODI. I’m not the only one complaining. See this tweet.
Even Steve Waugh was wondering “What were they playing for?”. Just weeks since the packed India-Pakistan match, MCG recorded its lowest turn-out ever.
In case you are an eternal optimist and believe even dead rubbers have something to offer, guess what, Cricket Quota has got you covered!
Here is Ashton Agar’s WONDERFUL effort on the boundary.
In bigger news though, Steve Smith has had a change of technique. More stable. Less antics. What could this mean? We’ll find out soon.
CURRENT MATCHES
India vs New Zealand
Again, nothing of value happened in the T20 series, with the exception of a Surya Kumar Yadav’s 111 of 51. You have probably seen it by now. But still, watch it again. There is a shot at 2:49. Watch it. Please Nothing will ever come close. A drive to an incoming delivery with bat’s face opening up and the ball ending up beyond third man. Incredible. He played a similar one back in England off Richard Gleeson.

West Indies vs Australia
By the time you are reading this, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, will probably be making his test debut for West Indies. If the name sounds familiar, it is because it is. Tangerine, is the son of the West Indian great Shivnarine. I wonder, what kind of stance will the young kid be taking!
Meanwhile, here is West Indian coach Phil Simmons on a glorious summer from 92.
Oh btw, speaking of coaches, former Aussie coach Justin Langer has insinuated that the current team has got a character problem. Cummins denies.

England vs Pakistan
England is in Pakistan. For the second time this year. But this time to play Test cricket. It has been 17 years since the English players donned the whites in Pakistan. A lot has changed since then. (except Jimmy Anderson, but more on that later). Considering the amount of cricket being played these days, it is a surprise I remember something from that tour. This heist by Hussain!
Meanwhile, here is Mark Nicholas remembering all the Pakistani greats he has played against or seen. Quite an impressive list.
Also, here is this week’s reminder that you are old. Or perhaps it is just me. Rehan Ahmed, a Pakistani born British leg spinner might make his debut and possibly play alongside Jimmy Anderson.
Speaking of English fast bowlers
Ahem!
